Front Doors
Overview
Your front door is the first thing visitors see and the first line of your home's security. An aluminium front door combines a strong, stable frame with a clean, contemporary look, and can be designed to suit a modern new build or a period façade.
Choose from solid and glazed designs, add sidelights or a toplight to bring more light into your hallway, and pick from a wide range of colours and hardware. Aluminium does not warp or swell, so the door keeps closing smoothly year after year.
We visit your home to help you choose a design and finish, take a full measure, and survey again before manufacture. Our own fitting team installs your new door with care, keeping disruption to a minimum.
You receive a FENSA certificate, a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee and the manufacturer's product guarantee. We supply and fit aluminium front doors across London, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey. Book a free design consultation.

Front doors: frequently asked questions
Are aluminium front doors secure?
Yes. Origin front doors are Secured by Design accredited, the police-preferred security standard for doors and windows.
Which range is right for my home?
Between them, the Kensington and Sandringham ranges offer ten panel designs to suit both modern and period homes. We talk you through the designs, colours and hardware at your free design visit.
Can I have side panels or a glazed toplight?
Yes. Sidelights and toplights bring more light into your hallway and can be glazed in clear or frosted glass.
Is there a step-free option?
Yes. Origin offers a mobility threshold only 20mm high for wheelchair access and easier entry.
Do I need permission to change my front door?
On most houses, replacing a front door is permitted development. Flats, listed buildings and conservation areas with an Article 4 direction can need consent, so check with your council first.
