Frequently asked questions

Roof lantern or flat rooflight?

A lantern or pyramid adds height and a sense of occasion, up to 24m². A flat rooflight gives a minimal, frameless-look view of the sky, and the automated version opens at the touch of a button.

Can I walk on a glass rooflight?

Yes. MFP walk-on glass is load and weather tested and can be sunk flush into a patio or floor, ideal for basement rooflights.

Will a rooflight make the room too hot?

MFP roof lanterns use high-specification solar reflective glass, and both lanterns and flat rooflights can have a blue or bronze tint to reduce glare.

Can I have privacy glass?

Yes. Sand-blasted glass is available on roof lanterns and flat rooflights, and walk-on glass comes in clear, opaque or anti-slip finishes.

Who installs the rooflights?

Our own in-house installation team.
