Aluminium Windows
Slim, secure, energy-efficient Origin aluminium windows, made to measure and installed by our own team across London and the Home Counties.
Aluminium windows give you slimmer frames, more glass and more light than uPVC or timber, with a finish that won't rot, warp or need repainting. As an Origin accredited partner, we design, supply and install made-to-measure aluminium windows for homes across London and the Home Counties, from Victorian terraces to contemporary new builds.
Our aluminium window range
Casement windows → – The most popular window style in British homes, hinged at the side or top and opening outwards. Available with flush sashes for a timber-like look.
Tilt and turn windows → – Tilt inwards for secure ventilation or open fully inwards for easy cleaning. Ideal for upper floors, flats and loft conversions.
Heritage steel-look windows → – The slim black frames and glazing bars of traditional steel windows, in thermally efficient aluminium.
Bay windows → – Add depth, light and character to a room with a canted, square or triangular aluminium bay.
Picture windows → – Large fixed panes that frame a view and flood a room with natural light.
French windows → – Two sashes that open with no central post, for an unobstructed view and easy ventilation.
Gable windows → – Striking glazing that follows the roof line, often aligned with bi-fold or sliding doors below.
Bi-fold windows → – Folding servery-style windows that open a kitchen to the garden, perfect for entertaining.
Origin window systems
We install both of Origin's aluminium window systems. The OW-70 Slimline has a slim 70mm frame that maximises glass and light. The OW-80 Premium has an industry-first frame that is flush inside and out for a timber-like finish, and is also available as French and tilt and turn windows. Both achieve a U-value of 1.2 W/m²K, are tested to PAS 24 with Secured by Design accreditation, come in over 150 RAL colours, and carry Origin's guarantee of up to 20 years.
Choose a minimal Gallery style, the steel-look Soho style or a traditional Georgian grid. Read our guide to black Soho-style aluminium windows.
Why choose aluminium windows?
More light: aluminium is strong, so frames are slimmer and the glass is bigger. Energy efficient: thermally broken frames with double or triple glazing keep your home warm. Low maintenance: a powder-coated finish that won't rot, warp or need repainting. Long-lasting and recyclable: aluminium keeps its shape and can be recycled at the end of its life.

Frequently asked questions
Which aluminium window is right for my home?
It depends on the style of your property and how you want the window to open. Casement windows suit most British homes, tilt and turn windows are ideal upstairs and in flats, and steel-look heritage windows suit period and warehouse-style homes. We help you choose at your free design visit.
Do aluminium windows meet Building Regulations?
Yes. Replacement windows in England need a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or better. Origin's OW-70 and OW-80 window systems achieve 1.2 W/m²K, and as we are FENSA registered you receive a certificate confirming compliance.
Do I need planning permission to replace my windows?
For most houses, replacing windows with ones of a similar appearance is permitted development. Flats, listed buildings and homes in conservation areas with an Article 4 direction may need consent, so check with your council first.
Are aluminium windows secure?
Origin's OW-70 and OW-80 window systems are tested to PAS 24 and carry Secured by Design accreditation, with multi-point locking on opening sashes.
What colours can I choose?
Over 150 RAL colours, from black and anthracite grey to bronze, white and bespoke shades, with slim frames and a choice of hardware.
