Stainless Steel Juliet Balconies
Overview
A stainless steel Juliet balcony combines a glass panel with a satin stainless steel handrail, for a crisp architectural finish that is strong, durable and easy to look after.
It lets you open French doors or full-height windows on an upper floor safely, bringing in light and fresh air. It suits renovations, new builds and loft conversions, and doesn't need a projecting structure.
We survey the opening, check the wall construction and measure precisely, then our own team installs the balcony carefully and cleanly.
Every installation is backed by our 10-year insurance-backed guarantee and the manufacturer's product guarantee. We install Juliet balconies across London, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey. See also our frameless Juliet balconies, or book a free design consultation.

The system we install
BM Architectural EazyJuliet: a single aluminium channel, fascia-fixed to the face of the wall or reveal-fixed inside the opening, holding the glass at 1100mm high. The system is load-tested to 0.74kN/m to BS 6180, the British Standard for barriers.
Glass and widths: toughened laminated glass sized to the opening: 13.5mm glass for widths up to 1.4m, 17.5mm up to 1.8m, 21.5mm up to 2.4m, and 21.5mm SentryGlas up to 3m.
Stainless steel handrail: EazyJuliet end and middle brackets in satin duplex stainless steel carry a 42.4mm slotted-tube handrail along the top edge of the glass, and resist weathering and corrosion outdoors.
Stainless steel Juliet balconies: frequently asked questions
Do I need planning permission for a Juliet balcony?
Because a Juliet balcony doesn't project from the building, it is often simpler to approve than a walk-out balcony. Planning rules still vary for listed buildings, conservation areas and flats, so check with your council, especially if you are adding new French doors at the same time.
How high is a Juliet balcony?
The EazyJuliet system gives a guarding height of 1100mm, the height Building Regulations typically require to guard an opening on an upper floor.
How wide can a Juliet balcony be?
Up to 3m on a single run of glass with the EazyJuliet system. The glass thickness is chosen to suit the width.
Can you fit one to my existing doors?
Usually, yes. The channel fixes either to the face of the wall or inside the reveal, so it can often be added to existing French doors or full-height windows. We check the wall construction at survey.
Will stainless steel rust?
Duplex stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion. An occasional wipe with warm, soapy water keeps the finish looking its best, especially near the coast or busy roads.
