Internal Single Doors

A steel-look internal single door replaces a solid door with a slim aluminium frame and glass, so light can pass between rooms while you still close the door for privacy and quiet. It is the simplest way to brighten a dark hallway, open up a kitchen or give a study or snug a striking, industrial-style entrance.

Origin's OI30 system has slim 30mm sightlines and comes in over 150 RAL colours, with black, bronze and grey the most popular for a Crittall-style look. Choose clear glass to keep the space open, or reeded or frosted glass for privacy in a bathroom, utility or home office. Doors can open inwards or outwards, with optional glazing bars and kickplates.

The Origin OI30 internal door system

Single OI30 doors fit a frame from 346mm to 1046mm wide and from 1533mm to 3048mm high, so they suit standard doorways as well as taller openings.

• A slim 30mm sightline and 40mm frame depth, for maximum glass and a steel-look finish.

• Clear, frosted or reeded glass in 4mm, 6mm or 6.8mm thicknesses.

• Over 150 RAL colours, optional glazing bars, square or chamfered glazing beads, blackout panels and kickplates.

• Inward or outward opening, with Origin's guarantee of up to 20 years.

Will a glass door make my hallway brighter?

Yes. A glazed internal door lets daylight from the room beyond pass through, which makes a big difference in narrow or north-facing hallways.

Can I have privacy glass?

Yes. Reeded or frosted glass lets light through while blurring the view, which suits bathrooms, utilities and home offices.

Can you fit a taller door?

Yes. OI30 single doors can be made for frames up to 3048mm high, ideal for period homes and rooms with high ceilings.

Which colour looks most like steel?

Black is the classic Crittall-style finish, with bronze and anthracite grey also popular. Over 150 RAL colours are available.

Do internal doors need to be fire doors?

In some homes, such as three-storey houses and loft conversions, doors onto the escape route may need to be fire doors. We check this at survey so your new doors meet Building Regulations.
