Casement Windows
Overview
Aluminium casement windows are hinged at the side or top and open outwards, the most familiar window style in British homes. In aluminium they gain slimmer frames, crisper lines and far less maintenance than timber, while flush-sash designs give a traditional, timber-like look.
They suit almost any property, from Victorian and Edwardian houses to contemporary new builds. Add Georgian bars for a period look, choose black or bronze frames for a Soho-style industrial feel, or keep it minimal with large single panes.
Every Aliluxe window is made to measure. We visit your home to talk through styles, colours and glazing, take a full measure for an accurate quote, and survey again before manufacture. Our own fitting team then installs your windows carefully to protect your home.
You receive a FENSA certificate, a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee and the manufacturer's product guarantee. We fit aluminium casement windows across London, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey. Read our guide to black Soho-style aluminium windows, or book a free design consultation.

Origin window systems we install
We install both of Origin's aluminium window systems, made to measure in the UK.
Origin OW-70 Slimline: a slim 70mm-deep frame that maximises glass and light, a U-value of 1.2 W/m²K, PAS 24 security, Secured by Design accreditation and Nemesis espagnolette locking. Available as casement, fixed, bay and gable windows.
Origin OW-80 Premium: an industry-first frame that is flush inside and out, for a timber-like finish. U-value of 1.2 W/m²K on opening windows (from 0.9 W/m²K on fixed panes), PAS 24 and Secured by Design, with Yale Encloser locking. Also available as French and tilt and turn windows and picture windows up to 7m², and can be upgraded with Aerogel insulation and triple glazing.
Both are available in over 150 RAL colours, with Gallery (minimal), Soho (steel-look bars) and Georgian (heritage grid) styles, and carry Origin's guarantee of up to 20 years (standard environments).
Casement windows: frequently asked questions
OW-70 or OW-80: which should I choose?
The OW-70 has a slimmer frame for maximum glass and light. The OW-80 has flush sashes inside and out for a cleaner, timber-like look, and is the one to choose if you want French or tilt and turn windows in the same style.
Do these windows meet Building Regulations?
Yes. Replacement windows in England need a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or better; both Origin systems achieve 1.2 W/m²K. As we are FENSA registered, you receive a certificate confirming compliance.
Can I get the Soho or Georgian look?
Yes. Origin's Soho style adds slim steel-look bars for an industrial look, and the Georgian style adds a traditional grid. See our heritage steel-look windows.
Are aluminium casement windows secure?
Both systems are tested to PAS 24 and carry Secured by Design accreditation, with multi-point espagnolette locking on opening sashes. Restrictors can be added to limit how far a window opens.
Can upstairs windows be used as a fire escape?
Where Building Regulations require an escape window, we specify an opening sash that meets the requirement. We check this at survey.
What colours are available?
Over 150 RAL colours, from black and anthracite grey to bronze, white and bespoke shades.
