Origin's aluminium garage door is a side-hinged pair of doors rather than an up-and-over, so you can open one leaf for everyday access to bikes and tools, or both for the car. With no overhead mechanism, the full height of the garage stays usable, and the doors can be designed to match your front door and windows.

Choose from 10 panel designs across Origin's Kensington and Sandringham collections, in over 150 RAL colours, with the frame, sash and panel colours chosen separately if you want contrast. The panels have an insulating Therminax core between aluminium skins, which suits garages used as a gym, workshop or utility space.

Every project starts with a free design visit, where we help you choose the configuration, colour, glazing and hardware, then take a full measure for an accurate quote. A surveyor checks every detail before anything is made, and our own fitting team installs your doors carefully and leaves your home clean.

Why choose side-hinged garage doors?

You can open a single leaf for quick access instead of lifting the whole door, and there are no overhead tracks or springs taking up space inside the garage.

Are aluminium garage doors insulated?

Yes. Origin's panels have a Therminax core, and the doors achieve U-values as low as 1.4 W/m²K, which helps if the garage is used as a workshop, gym or utility.

Are they secure?

Can they match my front door?

Do I need planning permission?
