Origin OB-36+ Bi-Fold Doors

Overview

The Origin OB-36+ is Origin's newest and most energy-efficient aluminium bi-fold door. Its ultra-slim 36mm sightlines put more glass between you and the garden than any other Origin bi-fold, and it reaches U-values as low as 0.78 W/m²K, so a wall of glass no longer means a cold room in winter.

OB-36+, OB-49 or OB-72?

Choose the OB-36+ for the slimmest frames and the warmest result. If Secured by Design accreditation matters to you or your insurer, look at the OB-49 or OB-72. We bring samples of all three to your design visit.

How it works

We visit your home, talk through panel numbers, opening direction, colour and glazing, and take a full measure for an itemised quote. A surveyor checks every detail before manufacture, and our own fitting team installs your doors. You receive a FENSA certificate where applicable, a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee and Origin's product guarantee.

Origin OB-36+: frequently asked questions

Is the OB-36+ worth it over the OB-49?

If you are glazing a large, north-facing or heavily used room, the lower U-value and slimmer frames make a noticeable difference. For a smaller opening where Secured by Design is a priority, the OB-49 is often the better fit.

Is it secure?

Yes. The OB-36+ meets PAS 24, the UK security standard for doors, with multi-point locking.

Will it suit my extension?

It is designed for contemporary extensions and new builds where maximum glass is the goal. We check structure, threshold and drainage at survey.
