REHAU uPVC Casement Windows

Overview

REHAU casement windows are built on TOTAL70, a 70mm multi-chambered uPVC profile from German polymer specialist REHAU. Independently tested to the highest BSI ratings for wind, water and air, they are the UK's most popular replacement window for good reason: warm, quiet, secure and almost maintenance-free.

Colours and finishes

REHAU's range runs to 24 named colours across four collections: Contemporary (greys such as Anthracite Grey and Slate Grey, plus Midnight Black), Timeless (Simply White, Clotted Cream, Chartwell Green, Pearl Grey), Traditional woodgrains (Turner Oak, Irish Oak, Golden Oak, Rosewood) and Statement shades such as Racing Green. Most colours are available in a grained finish that looks like painted timber, and the greys also come smooth for a crisper, modern look.

What affects the cost of REHAU casement windows?

Every installation is made to measure, so we quote after a free survey rather than publishing prices. The main things that affect the cost are:

  • The number, size and configuration of the windows (a single fixed light costs less than a three-pane window with two openers).

  • Double or triple glazing, and any acoustic or obscure glass.

  • White or a colour (foiled frames cost more than white, and dual colour more again).

  • Extras such as Georgian bars, trickle vents, restrictors and decorative handles.

  • Access, for example scaffolding for second-floor windows, and any making good to plaster or render.

Your quote is fixed and itemised, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

How we install REHAU casement windows

  1. Free survey: we measure every opening, check the condition of the brickwork and lintels and talk you through styles, glazing and colours.

  2. Fixed quote: a written, itemised quote with no pressure and no time-limited discounts.

  3. Made to measure: your windows are fabricated to the millimetre from REHAU profiles.

  4. Installation: most homes are completed in one or two days. Old frames are removed, new windows fixed and sealed, and the reveals made good.

  5. Sign-off: we register the installation with FENSA so you receive a Building Regulations certificate, and issue your guarantee.

Considering aluminium instead?

uPVC is a sound, warm choice. If you want slimmer frames and more glass, an aluminium casement window gives you sightlines a uPVC frame cannot match, an architectural finish in any of 150+ RAL colours and a longer lifespan. The Origin OW-70 is the one most of our clients compare against, and our guide to uPVC vs aluminium windows sets out the differences.

REHAU casement windows: frequently asked questions

Are uPVC casement windows energy efficient?

Yes. TOTAL70 is A energy rated and is rated at 0.8 W/m²K with triple glazing, well inside the 1.4 W/m²K that Building Regulations allow for replacement windows.

How long do REHAU uPVC windows last?

A well-installed uPVC window typically lasts 25 to 35 years. Keeping the drainage slots clear and oiling the hinges once a year helps them last.

Can I have Georgian bars?

Yes. Georgian bars can be added between the panes or applied to the glass, with chamfered or sculptured frames to suit period homes.

Do I need planning permission to replace windows?

Like-for-like replacements are usually permitted development. Listed buildings, flats and some conservation areas have extra rules, which we check at survey.

Can you match the windows I already have?

Usually, yes. We can match the opening style and colour, and often the frame profile too, if you are only replacing some windows.

How long does installation take?

Most houses take one to two days. We remove the old frames, fit and seal the new ones and make good the reveals the same day.

Should I choose uPVC or aluminium?

uPVC is warm and great value. Aluminium gives slimmer frames, more glass and a longer life. We can price both side by side at your survey.
